A pocket novel romance, about a girl who inherits a lonely cottage. If she refuses the inheritance, the rest of her family will get a share of the selling price. She decides to keep it and employs a local architect to get it back into shape. He interests her for more reasons than just his building skills. She moves in although the cottage is far from ready so that she can save the rent on her present flat. She hides her growing interest in him, sometimes it looks like he already has a girlfriend. She has to adjust to the out of the way position and also has to contend with a couple of strange mishaps when she moves into the cottage. Sometimes she wonders if she can stick it out, but she does.
This is a pleasant read for a couple of hours. Clear characters, interesting happenings, and a 'good feel' kind of story. ( )
