Rabbit learns the uselessness of placing signs in a forest where most of the other inhabitants are illiterate. Amusing.

This is an adaptation of Be Quiet, Pooh! (also published as Pooh's Wake-up Song) by Isabel Gaines. It uses the same Josie Yee art as the original, but since this book is 24 pages instead of 32, some of the pictures have been eliminated. Every sentence has been re-written, usually adding or changing words.

So the opening lines of Be Quiet, Pooh! --

The sun streamed in through Pooh's window. "What a happy day!" he said.

-- become in Sing a Song with Pooh,

Pooh woke up one morning and felt sunshine warming his nose. He looked out the window at the clear blue sky. "What a happy day," Pooh said to himself.

Oh, Disney! Always recycling . . .

(My Pooh Project: I love Winnie the Pooh, and so does my wife. Having a daughter gave us a chance to indoctrinate her into the cult by buying and reading her every Pooh book we came across. How many is that? I’m going to count them this year by reading and reviewing one every day and seeing which month I finally run out. Track my progress here:
