Probably 2.25-2.5 stars. Very uneven collection of 10 short stories, that suffer from "contributions" by co-authors. The book provided a few backstories, but sadly the sequels avoid revealing much about the three main characters: Connor, Risa, and Lev, perhaps because Shusterman may write a fifth installment? Personally, I liked the story set in Thailand because it did not have to integrate with the dystology and the one about Cam and the rewinds on Molokai. Maybe it's the tropics? ( )

3.5 stars

This is a collection of short stories set in Neal Shusterman’s “Unwind” world. We revisit some of the characters and the stories are from before, during, and after the events of the main series.

As with most short story collections, I’d rate these individually somewhat differently, though most, I would rate as “good”, 3.5 stars. There were a couple stories that stood out for me, though, and had they been standalones, they would have each gotten a 4 star rating: “Unnatural Selection”, and “Rewinds”. “Unstrung” is also included in this set of stories, originally released on its own to fill us in on Lev while he was away – had to look it up; I originally rated this story 3 stars (ok), but it sounds like I just wanted more of it. I liked the characters and wanted the story to be longer. Overall, for this collection, though, I’m keeping my rating at good, 3.5 stars. ( )

A society that deals with it's out-of-control teens by "unwinding" them--transporing more than 99% of their bodies into other people. Short stories by various authors continue to explore more aspects of this society.

I absolutely love the Unwind series. It is captivating. I enjoyed most of the stories in Unbound but much prefer a full novel. That's the only reason I give it a 4. The stories about Roland and Lev were particularly interesting. ( )

Instead of many other reviewers I started this knowing The Unwind Series had ended with book 4 Undivided and it was a great end. So for me this is a book written with other authors that is a little extra. Like chocolate dessert after dinner.

And I am so glad I know this so I am not going into this thinking it is going to be about Hayden, Connor Risa and all the others we got to know so well and we began to love. I am going this into thinking yes. Neal Shusterman gave us a little extra to enjoy.

Thank you so much Neal Shusterman.

Okay now back to reviewing this book:
It consists of chapters who are then divided again. Some of the chapters are co written with the author but I think some were not written by Mr Shusterman.

Okay what did we get:

Unschooled written by Neal Shusterman
It is a typical Unwind story about a boy who wants what he can't have and then has his revenge.
I liked it.

Unfinished Symphony is co written with Michelle Knowlden

Was not one of the best stories in my opinion but I think other readers may disagree and we will get to meet Risa again.

Undevoured :
We are with someone we got to know just a little bit. Roland with the shark arm and I do not want to say too much but I liked it.

Unclean Co written with Terry Black

One of my favourite stories of the book. It bring a little extra flavour and more history of what we know of what happened during the Unwind years. What for instance did they do with sick and unhealthy teens?

UnStrung I did not read because I had just recently re read. See my review

Unnatural Selection Co written with Brendan Shusterman

This was the best story together with Unclean of the book in my opinion. Really liked it.
We get to know a little more about the .....Burmese Dah Zey we have read so much about.

Untithed Co written with Michelle Knowlden

Sad to say this was the first time of all the books in the Unwind series that I thought how unrealistic it was. Never had that with all the weird stuff going on and that is I am sad to say the fault of how it is written. For instance you read how Miracolina, yeah she, is worrying about her parents maybe find out that she has left but then in the next chapter she just calls them she is working longer, it felt not real. I would have given it 3 stars

Rewinds Just the author.

Still reading this.It is about the rewinds that were made by Roberta and Cam is trying to help them out. Very interesting so far.
Update. yes very good story.

Unknown Quantity: Just Neal Shusterman

This was such a great last story. It is about Skinner aka Ardent Skinner brother of Grace and I really liked it.

All in all there was just 1 story I was not as fond but for loving all the other stories I have to give this great book 5 stars. ( )
