The poems are mostly illustrated in full colour by contemporary artists, including Shirley Barker, Jenny Brackley, Frances Cony, Caroline Crossland, Lydia Evans, Robina Green, Tudor Humphries, Charles Keeping, Valerie McBride, Lyn O'Neill, Nicki Palin, Paul Thomas, Martin White and Freire Wright.
