While I normally look to Helen Brooks' books as lite fare, even this was a bit too much for me. I kept waiting for the heroine to grow a backbone, and while I like alpha males, the hero crossed the line into domineering and annoying. While I've often had moments where I've wanted to slap sense into a main character, this is the first book where I felt every single darn character introduced needed that treatment. ( )
