This is the 15th Ed Noon novel by Avallone. Ed Noon. Always quick paced, enjoyable reading, there hasn't been a clunker in
the bunch. And this one is definitely not a clunker. In this one, Alberta Carstairs, owner of a top fashion house "Gloria,"
engages Noon's services. Everything about Gloria was real, Noon notes, looking at her plunging neckline. She wanted him to investigate her colleague Hugo who she saw with the competition. Simple enough.
Until Hugo, who knows how to box and has fifty pounds on Noon, decides to duke it out.

Also on Noon's client list: the Slim Savior, who is seven feet tall and intends one day to save everyone from the Fat Death.

Of course, it wouldn't be an Ed Noon book without a mysterious death and all of these weird angles coming together. And what's with Captain mike Monks keeping secrets and disappearing? ( )
