A short and extremely readable accountof what was probably the most remarkable piece of espionage in the 2nd World War - the delivery to the Germans of photographs of hundreds of Top Secret and Most Secret documents in the British Embassy at Ankara.
Very well worth reading in itself. The main reflection it causes is that Security is perhaps not all that important after all. The Germans made almost no use of their knowledge; and even if they had, it is difficult to see - as the author himself points out - that they could have greatly changed the course of events.
