I've said it previously, but I think children need more exposure to gender spectrums from a young age. This is great for preschool through 1st grade, because the animals make it attractive and approachable, but the message still rings true. Unlike the other bears, Bunnybear prefers to bounce through the forest, wiggle his nose and nibble on strawberries like a rabbit. He even loves the sounds bunnies make. His fellow bears insist he act like a bear. He meets Grizzlybun, a loud roaring bunny who says she's a bear. The two become pals. Says Grizzlybun to Bunnybear, "When I see you, I feel more like me." This title would be ideal for storytimes about being yourself or for Pride Month. no reviews | add a review

"Although Bunnybear was born a bear, he feels more like a bunny. He loves to bounce through the forest, wiggle his nose, and munch on strawberries. The other bears don't understand him, and neither do the bunnies. Will Bunnybear ever find a friend who likes him just the way he is?"-- No library descriptions found. |
