Karina Espinosa created another phenomenal book in the Mackenzie Grey Series, book 2, Caged. Mackenzie Grey has begun a new life in a special unit of the LAPD. After her identity has been uncovered, she decides she needs to confront her past. This contemporary PNR takes place in California and New York.

I love this series. It is full of non-stop action from beginning to end. So many unexpected and exciting things happen. I was completely captivated while reading this novel. Mackenzie goes on her vision quest and discovers her ancestry in this story. Plus, being LAPD, there are some interesting crime scenes as well. I respect how Mackenzie is always defending others.

I enjoyed the introduction on Roman. He is a good partner and friend to Mackenzie. I like that they hold no species prejudices against each other, her being a wolf and him a vampire. I loved the introduction of Emma. She is totally Kenzie’s mini-me. I really liked both Jonah Cadwell and Sebastian Steel. I was thrilled that they were both still involved in the series.

Cage had a great ending, even though I did not like what happened. Karina Espinosa is an exceptional writer. I highly recommend reading the books in order starting with Shift. I am anxiously awaiting the next book.
