This novel is a follow up to the 2010 novel of the same name. We pick up with the survivors from the first novel. Missy has been in hiding avoiding the law, Rob has been in jail, and the others have stayed out of the public eye. However, a wealthy but vicious billionaire decides to hold a deadly competition between the survivors of the first novel with the addition of a couple newcomers. The contestants rip through America towards a bloody conclusion.

I enjoyed this novel more than the first. The kills are more brutal than its predecessor. Also, I really enjoyed the use of this shadowy syndicate who is controlling the game and the contestants. The ending to the novel totally surprised me and sets up for a third novel, hopefully. ( )
