The Midwife's Christmas Surprise by Marta Perry

The Midwife's Christmas Surprise by Marta Perry is a sweet tale of returning home and making peace with yourself.

Midwife Anna Zook lost her heart when Ben Miller left the Amish life 3 years ago, but now he is back and Anna is struggling with not only her feelings for Ben but conflict with others in the community,

I loved this book by Marta Perry, she has a way of putting a refreshing spin on Amish stories and leaves you wanting more.

A Christmas to Remember by Jo Ann Brown

When Linda opened her eyes, she didn't know where she was or who she was, all she knew was she was taking Polly to her Grandparents, but somehow she found herself in Lancaster, taking care of a little girl, being taken care of by Amos and his family.

After being lied to by a woman 5 years ago, Amos didn't find it easy to trust, but after rescuing Polly and Linda from the harsh winter weather, but the one thing he wasn't counting on was falling for Linda.

A Christmas to Remember is such a sweet tale and you just can't help but fall in love with Amos! I absolutely loved this book, so if you like Amish fiction, it's a must read!

I give Amish Christmas Blessing 5 stars! ( )

This book is the perfect holiday gift/stocking stuffer for that reader in your life. I thoroughly enjoyed both stories, The Midwife's Christmas Surprise and A Christmas to Remember. Both stories were sweet in their own ways. There was the lost love and forgiveness that could be found in The Midwife's Christmas by Marta Perry. Then there was the story of kindness and taking a chance on love with A Christmas to Remember by Jo Ann Brown. Which both stories were short they read like full length novels. Anna and Ben were so good together. Yet, Amos and Linda showed that love can be found in unexpected ways. What I really enjoyed about both stories is the Amish influence. I felt like I was transported to this other world reading both stories. In addition, I like the idea of Second Christmas, the day after Christmas for visiting with friends, relatives, and rejoicing together. ( )

With this book you get a double treat, and answers come quickly with these slightly over 100 page novellas, but they pack a lot in a small amount of pages.
With the first we are with Amish midwives, partners, in a clinic run at the Miller farm. Anna Zook lives her with Elizabeth Miller and her family and is gradually taking over more and more of the practice. The family is also living with the pain of having one son leave, but Ben shows up and how he is received and tries to put his life together is a big part of this book.
The second is the story of a woman Linda, a young girl, found by Amos Stoltfus, but the woman does not seem to remember anything except where she is now. As this story unravels, we fall in love with the little girl, and try to put ourselves in Linda’s shoes. We also find Amos caring more and move about this family, but what if she has a husband?
Great holiday stories and quick evening reads enjoy!
I received this book through Love Inspired, and was not required to give a positive review. ( )
