Summary:
Not to spoil anything, but this short 4 pager is about a hedgehog reading a book. It's a very simple book about Hedgie who decides to curl up and stay on a cold day, while reading his favorite book.

Personal Reaction:
I did not expect such a short story, but it was easily related to, as I'm sure all other book readers have stayed in to read up on their favorite novel every now and then, especially on a cold winter day.

Class Extension:
Might have a child come forward to read this to the rest of the class since it is simple and easy to read. maybe talk about the inherit silliness of hedgehogs reading in their underground dens by the tiny fireplace. ( )

This is a short easy read that will encourage children to share about their love of reading. A great wind down book for introduction to story time or nap time.

Summary: Hedgie wants to read a book, but can't decide on which one and in the process he does some chores around the house. Once he is done he decides on a book and reads.
