Let me count the ways why falling into forbidden love is not my wisest move&1. She works with me every single day. Did I mention she's gorgeous, sweet, kind and smart? 2. She works in my home. Playing with my five-year-old daughter. Teaching my little girl. Cooking for my princess. Which means&3. She's the nanny. And that makes her completely off-limits&But it doesnt stop me from wanting her. All of her. ----The other nannies in this city don't call him the Sexy One for nothing. My boss, the amazingly wonderful single father to the girl I take care of every day is ridiculously hot, like movie star levels with those arms, and those eyes, and that body. Not to mention, the way he dotes on his little girl melts me all over. But what really makes my knees weak are the times when his gaze lingers on me. In secret. When no one else is around.… (more)

I mean, it was fine.I didn't love the nanny dynamic. I don't think the "forbidden' part really appealed to me.

Overall, the plot was a little simplistic and lacked any level of character development that I love-particularly on them learning about one another. They know each other so well from because she's a household employee that the jump to relationship didn't seem unrealistic, it just seems like we skipped over the good part-will we or won't we. It was so clear that they were in love we didn't get to watch the love blossom. ( )

I love Sebastian York, his voice is so sexy. The audio was great and the story was super cute. There wasn't really any drama, but sometimes that's nice to see people communicate and say how they feel. Simon was such a good guy, he cared about his daughter and even had full custody. He rearranged his schedule so he could spend more time with his little girl and he treated Abby well. Abby was strong and independent and said what she meant. The mom was a bitch, ugh. I'm glad Simon put her in her place. Short, fun, and sexy read. ( )

Whenever I read a Lauren Blakely story, it is a reminder of just how talented she really is. Her ability to cunningly intersect storylines and wickedly entertain is amazing. All in the name of fun. In my mind there is nothing sexier than a father, especially one who has a daughter. His protectiveness, the understanding and devotion are written all over his face whenever he looks at his child. Ms. Blakely brought that sweetness to The Sexy One. The brilliance of the dual point of views gave a first hand glimpse into the hearts and minds of both characters and the sensual attraction that weighs heaven on their conscience. Like a moth to a flame, The Sexy One is hard to resist. So why try? ( )

The Sexy One by Lauren Blakely (Audio Edition)
Narrated by Andi Arndt and Sebastian York

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ This was a quick sweet story. I quite enjoyed both characters, and their love for Simon’s daughter Hayden. There were a few nice chuckles, one huge gasping moment and a conclusion that left me feeling happy. This was just what I was looking for! This book is definitely a standalone but technically comes after Mister O, which was a story I loved. So it was nice to see those character's peek in a few times.

The narration was wonderful, I mean, with two fantastic narrators, how could it not be!

Simon is a single dad - he adores his little girl, Hayden and everyone knows it. Pair that sexiness up with him being stunning. He is the answer to nearly all female prayers. He only has eyes for one though and he just can't go there... or can he?
Abby is the nanny. She takes care of Simon's daughter and to boot, she is wonderful at it. She also happens to be the one he fantasizes about. Little does he know that Abby feels the same. They can no longer fight against the current and they splash into dangerous waters.
Neither see this panning out to last. Can they have it all?

The Sexy One was just that.. and maybe a dash of holy ****! Simon and Abby - Single dad and the nanny. Things heat up and Lauren Blakely knows just how to stir the pot and get her readers tuning in with every word. Great read. This book can be read as a standalone, but works so much better for your imagination if you start with 1 - Big Rock, 2 - Mister O, 3 - Well Hung and then this, The Sexy One. AMAZING!
Oh, how can I even forget the fact to mention that Sebastian York narrates. You're welcome ;) His voice..... swoon ( )
