The Golden Fruit by Carolyn Steiner is a delightful tale aimed at a young audience. Told in rhyme, this little fantasy has the classic tropes, including a King, Queen, Prince, and a dragon. The artwork by Staci Lindsey is delightful, and I can imagine kids flipping through this over and over looking at the pictures and asking someone to read it to them.

Steiner is a published poet, and I’m hopeful that we’ll see more stories from her in the future! ( )
