I'm NHL defenseman Lance Romero, AKA Lance "Romance." I'm notorious for parties and excess. I have the most penalty minutes in the league. I get into the most fights. I take the most hits. I'm a player on and off the ice. I'm the one women with no inhibitions want. Not because I like the notoriety, but because I don't know how to be any other way. I have secrets. Ones I shared with the wrong person, and she used them against me. Sometimes she still does. I should cut ties. But she makes it difficult, because she's the kind of bad I deserve. At least that's what I believed until someone from my past gets caught up in my present. She's all the good things in this world. She lights up my dark. I shouldn't want her. But I do. I should leave her alone. But I won't.… (more)

I’m really liking Helena Hunting’s hockey player’s series. I can’t remember which of my awesome GR friends reviewed this series and made it sound so yummy, but thank you! This book is a bit darker than some of the others. Lance has been in an abusive relationship, and keeps going back to his ex, who is terrible to him. He also had an abusive childhood. He meets Poppy, a massage therapist, who helps him get over his fear of being touched, and sparks fly. This one is definitely a bit darker than some of the others, and Lance’s ex is crazy-pants! Still, I enjoyed seeing him and Poppy find their happy ending, as well as see the previous couples moving forward in their relationships.

I was looking forward to Pucked Off and it did not disappoint. Hockey romance with all the feels. I think this is the most in a heroes head I've been taken. Gotta love a hot, sexy, broken athlete. ( )

Not my favorite of the series. There was a lot of backstory about Tash and Lance that I didn't understand. It got in the way of me enjoying Lance and Poppy which was a shame because I really liked them, separately and, together. It didn't really seem to be resolved by the end either. Pretty frustrating.

Finally, the next book is about Darren and Char. It feels like it has been forever. ( )

This book is so different from the other Pucked books. Ms. Hunting has touched on a bit of a darker, subject in Lance ‘Romance’ Romero’s life. The humor of the rest of the gang is still here, we still get all of Violet’s antics. What we also get is the background of why Lance is the way he is with women, what makes him the manwh*re that everyone thinks he is.

Poppy is your average everyday girl that just wants to live her life and do her job as a masseuse. That is until Lance walks in as her next client and all the feelings from high school resurface. The only problem is that he doesn’t remember her.

What develops over the course of the story is amazing. We realize that Lance has demons, and Tash is only feeding them. Poppy is the only one that can rid Lance of them, if only he can remember them. From such a hysterical series, that has you laughing at every page, this installment, had me crying, laughing, and hoping for the best.

Read this book from cover to end in 4 hours… Yes, it was that good! Cannot wait for the next one! 5 Solid STARS!!!

This book was different from the others, it was sad at times, but it was good. I loved Lance, my god what he went thru, you wanted to hug him, and I hated Tasha, what a nut job. I also liked Poppy, it was was nice how they tied in background of how they previously knew each other. Loved reading about others, and how they were there for each other, like Violets relationship with Lance and Lilly'so advice. It was good..do not miss it ( )
