Okay, you think, that is one of the more shorter reviews I've ever written. Well, no. Because the rest I'm going to hide here and only here. So if you click on the spoiler >>> not my fault.
Emerson has been dealt a tough hand in life. Her resilience and strength shines through as we watch her grow up and bloom. Meeting Mereki I believe was destined. She needed that one person to believe in her. But Fate, she is a fickle creature and decides a terrible incident will literally break them. Fast forward to Josh. Josh is best described as the strong, silent and steady. He is everything Emerson needs but not looking for in her life at this point. She is resistant to Josh's pull, but can't deny what lies between them is powerful. She knows it's time to give up Mereki, but can she really do it? That's the journey you need to take.
With that said, and I hope I've not spoiled it for you. There is beauty in the writing of not blatantly giving the plot point away. I believe that any seasoned reader, like myself, will have the 'twist' clearly displayed to them by Part Two. Is this a bad thing? No, because really the 'twist' isn't the point. It's Emerson's journey of healing that is the point of the story. All in all, Love My Way is truly a beautifully told love story that any romance reader will love.
