Received an ARC at no cost to author. It tend to enjoy Kat Martins book, I have been following her for years and as much as I was anxiously awaiting for this book it wasn't my favorite, not bad just not my favorite. So we met Beau in last book Beyond Reason, he was Linc's best friend and I was intrigued by him. Poor Beau found his father murdered and even though they had a difficult relationship he still wanted to know who killed him. The Senator (Beau's dad) had felt that someone was following him so he hired a PI by the name of Cassidy, and she was is also now Beau's love interest. I got say this is why I wasn't crazy about Beau, I didn't like her, from the get go and even though I enjoyed the rest of the book, she just never did it for me. I was happy to read about previous characters but kind of hoped they had just a little more time in this book, juuuuust a little. Anyhoo, still a fan and now hoping to read Josh's story. ( )
