I must admit rating this as 5 stars is a big personal risk as I am conflicted about this book. The book is fiction, as on the author's website, but clearly it makes a strong case for UFO's or flying saucers especially with the extensively documented afterword. I labored through the first 40% or so of the book enjoying the writing style but finding the plot contrived, and implausible. But then something happened and I found the book really compelling and thoroughly enjoyable and atmospheric. Most folk will likely not like this book as it's 'science fiction" but if you do like that genre READ this book.

Plus read these professional reviewers:

'A powerful and imaginative novel that has a quite extraordinary impact… stunning… original… An extraordinary powerful tour de force, a truly epic novel.' -Book Buyer

'Harbinson has drawn so heavily on factual material and integrated it so well into the text that the book begins to read like nonfiction… An impressive achievement… Even determined nonbelievers should find this tour de force fascinating.' -Publishers' Weekly

'A Herculean conspiracy epic… superbly written, crammed with food for thought; it explores powerful and unusual emotions. It's a hit and it should be.' -Los Angeles Times ( )

The author James Herbert writes “I am in awe of this man”. While I would not quite go that far there is no doubt Harbinson is a consummate author and one that I added to my favourite author’s list. ( )

Book description
First Came the Sightings
nine million Americans saw them - mysterious objects in the darkness of the night sky - and in broad daylight.

Then Came the Encounters
friendly, frightening, or ending in chilling horror

Then Came the Obsession
to know, in spite of governmental denial, public ridicule, personal ruin and lethal danger.

And When the Truth is Known
one man will be privy to the terrifying facts - an Earthly plot born in another time - moving from icy polar wastes and steaming jungles to the cold vacuum of space itself - dedicated to dominate and change the world forever. But one man, one nation, is powerless against a threat of such magnitude. And the danger is here, it is happening ....
NOW!

Genesis

Based on little-known but indisputable fact  - filled with searing terror and explosive excitement
