A sense of humor twisted or otherwise makes life more palatable. If you are honest, it feels great to say what you think, and not what is PC. There is an invigorating sense of freedom when we speak our mind. "Fractured Proverbs & Twisted Thoughts" indulges your irreverent and wicked side. Take a look at the world around you through the prism of humor. Nothing is off limits. The Proverbs, the words of Willy Shakespeare, familiar adages, songs, and jingles, they are all fair game as they pass through the twisted labyrinth of the author's mind. Humans take themselves and their puny lives too seriously. The intent of "Fractured Proverbs & Twisted Thoughts" is to reach inside the reader for a wry smile, a wide grin or a belly laugh. Join us! Indulge in a few twisted thoughts of your own. DEAR READERS: DUE TO THE UNIQUE FORMATTING AND CONTENT PRESENTATION OF THIS BOOK, ONLY A PRINTED VERSION DOES IT JUSTICE. - Elizabeth Cowan… (more)

I found this endeavor by Elizabeth Cowan to be a delightful romp away from our daily mundane existence, an existence we too often take seriously. We spent our lives simply listening to everything being said, taking it at face value and rendering us unable to think out of the proverbial box to envision some other possibility.

We have taken many of these everyday sayings, songs, Proverbs, famous quotations, etc. and have turned them into things which can best be described as unpleasant. Ms. Cowan invites her readers to break the chains of their doldrums by reading each of the proverbs, etc. she’s included in this book, and then contemplate its meaning trying not to laugh out loud [if you do laugh – just let the laughter come out]. But be warned some of what Ms. Cowan has offered in this book can be quite wickedly humorous. If having given me and her readers a good chuckle when we might have needed it the most, I’ve given Ms. Cowan a serious 5 STARS.

If you happen to come up with something similar on your own, just write it down and keep it as a reference when you might need a few good laughs in the future, along aside this book. ( )
