Ghost stories are not normally my thing, but this one sounded interesting, so I decided to give it a try. I am so glad I did! Maybe it was the perspective of Jonathan, a paranormal investigator, who approaches the idea of a haunted lunatic asylum relatively rationally. The owner pushing for him to find ghosts was pretty funny - and rather realistic considering the man was trying to find a way to make money running ghost tours.

Jonathan isn't impressed by any of that, He looks at the bare facts, and I liked that about him. When he finds a real ghost, one with a sense of humor and a mischievous streak, he is extremely surprised. The more he explores this ghost and its abilities, the more he likes him.

Ernie has been a lonely ghost for 85 years - no wonder he is a little bored. Jonathan's company is just what Ernie needs, and he is quite impressive in his achievements. Scary - not so much, which was just fine with me.

If you like "friendly ghosts", if you enjoy reading about paranormal investigators and their adventures, and if you're looking for a short, fun ghost story with a happy ending, you will probably like this one,
