McKenna Prescott is the queen of picking the wrong men. When her latest boyfriend dumps her, she decides to devote her time to "exploring herself" (read: drinking wine and ordering sex toys online) and starting her freelance makeup business. That is, until an embarrassing delivery mix-up puts her sexy, gruff neighbor in her path... Beckett Walsh is married to his job... which is a deal-breaker for the woman he's supposed to be marrying. Even worse, his would-be father-in-law has pulled support from Beckett's startup and now Beckett stands to lose everything. But the gorgeous, crazy makeup artist from down the hall has an equally crazy but mutually beneficial idea: if he convinces his sister to hire McKenna for her high-society wedding, McKenna will teach him about what women want so he can get his fiancee back. All he has to do is make sure he doesn't fall for the wrong girl. Contains mature themes.… (more)

Tempting reading often appears at the most unexpected times and leaves a lasting impression. With a laugh out loud storyline and a heavy dose of heart, Trouble Next Door has much to offer. McKenna is a tad needy and Beckett tends to be a bit too clueless. Nothing good can come from this combination, but it turns out to be gold. Amidst the over the top wedding and the equally flighty personas, McKenna and Beckett learn about themselves and each other. It only takes some soul searching to show a person is most beautiful, when being true to themselves. Inspiring words to live by. ( )

Received an ARC at no cost to author on behalf of netgalley. I enjoyed this book, it was really..McKenna had recently gotten dumped and up ordering some intimate objects online her new proclaimed self-love. Unfortunately her items get dropped off in the wrong apartment, that of her hottie neighbor Beckett who is also newly single. Beckett has always been attracted to McKenna but since he had a fiance never spoke to her, he tends to grunt since McKenna makes him feel different. McKenna and Beckett set up to help each other, but as they spend time develop feelings..What happens, you should read it is a nice pick me up..Enjoy! ( )
