This didn't even read as a Patterson book. It just has his name on it.
Positive: as always, it has short chapters.
Negative: I realized these were horrific true stories, but I just didn't enjoy this style of writing. ( )

Just as good as the first one, in my opinion. Looking forward to this series. ( )

Two OK murder type mysteries based on true events. Patterson however narrates them in his writing in a fictional way making characters and dialogue between victims, the perp, and those investigating.

To me this treatment distracts somewhat from the effect as he is interjecting his thoughts and feelings into the crime scenes.

The chapters are quite short and I do like that style as it adds to a fast pace page turning style that enhances the effect of the drama. ( )
