This book gets a 4/5 from me. I think that the story is adorable and would be great for any young child especially those who like animals. This wordless picture book follows a chick who hatches out of it's shell only to be greeted by a massive unknown specimen. This weird creature is a dog! the curious chick investigates the dog further but scurries away as the dog barks. To their surprise it starts to rain and the two help each other from getting wet. This unconventional friendship flourishes as the two play with each other and have the best day ever. I think this book sends a great message to young children everywhere to never judge a book by its cover and to spread kindness.
