( ) Dr. Dog is a story about a dog that takes care of a specific family and helps them through their illnesses. He is able to describe how the family got certain sicknesses and to give them remedies. This story is great for middle school and jr. high school ages. Many of the sicknesses that the family goes through are the same that middle school and jr. high school students are going through. This book is great for a fun read for students, one that many (I believe) will think is funny as well as being informative. It can help inform students as to why it is important to wash your hands, not share brushes, and not to smoke. Dr. Dog is needs to help out his family when everyone is sick. He helps out the whole family and diagnoses them with what is going on. Once he is finished he decides to go on a peaceful vacation away from the family, until he gets a message saying they're coming to join him. This book is good to discuss hygiene and the importance of it in a easy manner. no reviews | add a review
Dr. dog is not your usual doctor. For one thing, he makes house calls. For another, he's a pet beagle! When his entire family falls sick, only Dr. Dog can save the day, with cure for head lice, pinworms, and (yikes!) even a case of too much gas. No library descriptions found. |
