A surgeon in a hardcore law enforcement family? Ruthie is the odd one out in her family even though they are still a close and strong family. The themes in this story are all too tragic and mishaps real; police corruption. Sad and dangerous is it not? But this novella was a wonderful read, the suspense was nice, I can't say I loved this one, I liked it but it was somewhat violent and descriptive for me. I skimmed some at several parts and can only give this one 3 and 1/2 stars. I did love it though, I promise! ( )
