Fiction. Romance. HTML:He's a rock star with a secret, she's a pop princess with a painful past - can their forbidden romance survive, or will their lies destroy them both?
I've earned my bad reputation.
A few years ago, I was New York City's hottest classical music prodigy. But I wanted something else, something more. So I chased my real dream, and now... I'm rock royalty. Dax Hughes, lead guitarist of Nothing but Trouble. But to my family and former Juilliard classmates, I'm an outcast. A misfit. A rebel.
They're not entirely wrong. I don't give a damn what other people think, and I'm all for breaking the rules... except when it comes to our new opening act, Verity Moore.
Rock gods don't tour with pop princesses.
It's not personal. Actually, under that fallen diva reputation, Verity's incredibly talented. And her fiery redheaded personality is... intriguing. But I'm convinced the skeletons in Verity's closet are as scandalous as my own, and when we're not sparring, she has a way of drawing out all those secrets I'm determined to keep hidden.
Yeah. Verity Moore is definitely off-limits . . . But since when do I give a damn about the rules?

Wow!! This author is so amazing she can take a story with sensitive issues and make it beautiful. We have Verity who as a child actor endured the not so glamorous side of Hollywood she is so over being used and not able trust anyone so she is working on changing her image. Dax is a quiet band member of Nothing but Trouble-but beautiful man who falls deep for Verity. Their story has some twist and turns but the author handles it all so amazing I loved it. I honestly didn’t think anyone would top Shane or Landon but Dax has stolen the show and my heart. ( )

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Rock Rebel by Tara Leigh is book three in the Nothing But Trouble series. Available December 11, 2018, I will confess to not having read books one and two. I'm now curious.

Dax Hughes is a one time classically trained musician. Changing his life to become lead guitarist for a rock band, Nothing But Trouble, angered and confused a good many people. Dax was in desperate need of a life do-over. Bring on the groupies! When he meets Verity Moore the groupies go bye-bye. Dax is hooked. Verity is a former music show victim...err...actor. Trying to put her life and career back together, Verity has taken a gig as the opening act for Dax's band. Dax is changing and growing (and growing up), he's trying to move his past hurt and resentment. Verity is damaged in other ways. Can Dax be the man to help her wade through the darkness into the light? While this is not an easy storyline it's worth the read to see how these characters help each other along the road to recovery. Happy reading.

There is beauty in anonymity and heartache in recognition. In other words just because someone knows you by name, doesn't mean they understand your private struggles. Rock Rebel reminds me of an old movie entitled, "The Heart is a Lonely Hunter." It told the tale of a deaf man who had a heart full of love. He showered his love on the people around him, but lost himself along the way. The best of intentions ended in tragedy. Dax and Verity use music to tamp down the pain, they hide inside. Neither is aware of the gift they share with the world. That is until they experience it through the eyes of each other. Can their spiritual awakening save them from the darkness that haunts their hearts? Tara Leigh takes readers on a journey into the looking glass to see how the other half lives. Rock Rebel begins as a heartbreaking solo, but ends as an inspiring duet. ( )

This delivers all the emotion and drama you expect from a good rock star romance, while at the same time addressing some dark and serious issues.
Although part of a series, this is a book you can successfully read as a standalone, and it doesn't give so much away from the previous books that you wouldn't want to go back and read those if you haven't already.
Great characters set against a believable entertainment industry background, with some really good plot twists.
I received my copy through NetGalley. My review is my honest opinion. ( )

Book 3 in the Nothing But Trouble Series but I do beleive you could read this as a stand-alone although I’m sure you will want to go back and read the previous books in this great rock series.
Verity Moore is a pop princess and Dax Hughes is a rock star with a secret, he is the lead guitarist with Nothing But Trouble and she is the new opening act for the tour they are about to embark on.
Rock gods don’t tour with pop princesses.
Verity may be a very talented pop star but she has fallen under the diva reputation and that means proving she is a worthy opening act, problem is there is an instant attraction between the fiery redhead and the swoon worthy rock god will either of them open up and spill the truth about their pasts and the secrets they are hiding......... guess you need to read the book to find that out.
I love all of the boys from Nothing But Trouble but Dax really chiseled away at my heart he tugged on every heart string as I read his story and what can I say about Verity apart from she is not what she seems underneath the pop princess is a sweet loveable woman who needs to be loved and who is perfect for Dax. The banter was witty and perfect ,the chemistry sizzling and together these two make great music . Tara Leigh has given us a beautifully written love story that captivated me and I’m sure if you give this book a chance you will fall in love with the rock gods of Nothing But Trouble.
Looking forward to more from this great series ( )
