A pygmy marmoset born in captivity was abandoned by her family group at three weeks old, raised by human caregivers, and paired with another pygmy marmoset. Adorable, heartwarming. Digital illustrations. Back matter includes an author's note about marmosets and the Rare Species Conservatory Foundation, a selected bibliography, and "fun facts" about pygmy marmosets (not especially fun, just regular facts). * Re-read November 2019 no reviews | add a review

Similarly to "Beware of the Crocodile", this story is great choice for animal lovers who may be more resistant to non-fiction reading. It could also provide a great connection for learning around disability- as a way of illustrating how both humans and animals navigate the world with different abilities.
The story is fun, accessible and makes for an engaging read-aloud, especially amongst K-2 students. Although the book does provide additional info about Pygmy Marmoset's, some additional info can be found here: https://www.livescience.com/58447-marmoset-facts.html
