When Bear's favorite book falls apart, he sets out to write a story of his own! A case of writers' block sets him off to look for ideas and in the day that follows, the help Bear gives to other animals provides inspiration and opportunities for gratitude. A sweet story that could be shared at bedtime, storytime or even in a classroom as a writing prompt! Includes Bear's story as a special addition as well. ( )

Bear's Book is about a bear who loves reading. When his storybook wears out he decides to write his own story, and gets inspired by adventures with his friends. It's a nice story about having fun with friends, using your imagination and helping others. My 5-year-old has asked to read this book several times since we got it, and really enjoys it. He likes the story that the bear writes and how the page for that story fold out, and he likes that the other animals listen to Bear's story and like it. ( )

Every good story begins with a back scratch! This and other delightful gems can be found in this warm and friendly book. We especially enjoyed the book-in-a-book as bear draws on his own life and relationships to write his story. With Alison Friend's cozy illustrations, Bear's Book invites the reader back again and again.

This is a great story. Bear's favorite book is falling apart, so he decides to write is own, but what can he write about. We get to join Bear as he tries to find inspiration for his book idea. Along the way his friends ask for help.
I love this story and how they show a book idea does not always come easy. We also have a pull out page in the book that is Bear's story. With cute illustrations and loveable characters this book will be loved by many. ( )
