Growing up in the shadow of her older brother, Esther Fox's acceptance in his circle has been indifferent at best. So, when she ends up in a compromising situation as she saves the life of her brother's dearest friend, the Earl of Inglewood, she is forced to marry him to save her own reputation. This book starts with a couple that feel forced into marriage to protect their reputations, in ways that felt overly contrived to me. However, once I hit the halfway mark, I couldn't put it down and really wanted things to work out right between them. Although stories like this could always use a hefty dose of honest communication between the hero and heroine, there was enough emotional depth that I enjoyed being along for the ride. ( )

The heroine is beautiful, but there is enough angst and insecurity that I can overlook that. I really enjoyed this quite a bit, and teared up a number of times. Esther is very much a 20 year old girl with abandonment issues and a slight flair for the dramatic, but she’s been through a whole lot and I felt sympathy rather than annoyance towards her. Nice read. Writing was solid but not brilliant. ( )

Rescuing Lord Inglewood: A Regency Romance by Sally Britton is the start of a new series, "Inglewood".
Well written, with engaging characters, the plot is powerful, compelling and intriguing. A fantastic, clean Regency Romance.
I enjoyed the characters, they were realistic and believable. This story will keep you turning pages as you follow, Silas Riley, Earl of Inglewood, the man made of stone, and Esther Fox, they were made for each other.
A poignant and captivating story. I found myself invested in these characters and story. Strongly recommended!
