I struggled with how to rate this book. It has a ton of useful information. I bought the book to get added insight into how Nathan edits his photos with speed and efficiency. And I wasn’t disappointed. I learned a lot. He shares all his Lightroom presets and Photoshop actions. He explains how to swap skies, how to correct color casts, and even how to add fire to fireplaces in post-processing. The book is definitely worth picking up.

My only issue is that for a book with “Advanced Editing” in the title, the first 60% of the book covers the basics of LR and PS (masking, histograms, adjustment layers, etc). If you have a good working knowledge of the editing programs, you can pretty much skip to around the 60% mark and then you’ll get into the real meat of the book. On the other hand, if you’re fairly new to post-processing, or you need a refresher, then this book will take you from beginning to end when it comes to editing your real estate photos. ( )
