I’m quite a fan of Euripides and have read Philip Vellacott’s translations. I bought this because he didn’t do Rhesus – the authorship is disputed. It’s not a bad little play – easy in and out – though really only of interest to people with an unnatural fascination with Homer.

I can't speak for the translations of the other plays here. Personally, I consider Vellacott to be The Man For The Job. ( )
