You know the kind of supportive friend that always encourages you to take care of yourself and not be so hard on yourself. This book is like that friend. Written in an informal and friendly style, author Liza Kindred skips over all that complicated science behind meditation and self-care and gets right to the good stuff - activities you can do that work. She encourages you to do the ones that feel good, skip the ones that don't. The practices are separated by time (from one-minute to an "hour-ish" and longer. I received a review copy on the computer from NetGalley; I'm going to buy this book so I can flip through it when I need a boost. I can't give it a higher compliment than being willing to spend money on it! ( )
