I have been dying to read Nine’s story for a while because he is so elusive and so protective of his town and those he loves, yet everyone seems to think he is a murderer or a monster. Leo and Clarissa have known each other since childhood and they both endure traumas, especially Leo is was trained to be a super soldier. We find out more about the town, Leo/Nine’s back story, Leo and Clarissa’s love story, and how they are going to fight for justice against the town and themselves. The story takes us on a mysterious journey trying to solve riddles and codes while they are trying to save Clarissa’s sister and hopefully being down the evil corporation behind so much corruption. There are a lot of twists and things you don’t see coming but there is also Clarissa and Leo trying to figure how they fit in each other’s lives again. I loved it and can’t wait for more. (

This author is exceptional. The amount of thought and details that she puts in to the timeline of her stories is mind boggling. Even though every story is a standalone they still carry threads of the previous story and glimpses of other characters.

This book his filled with suspense, mystery, longing, chemistry, and second chance love. It might be one of the top books by this author that I have read(which says a lot since I've read just about every book she has written--which is a lot). Definitely recommend this series. (
