Yugoslavia was where Asmir lived but when war broke out his whole life changed. The only book where it describes childhood properly and not boisterously. ( ) War has come to Asmir's home in Sarajevo. Asmir has seen his friends wounded. He hears bombs exploding, guns firing, his parents talking in worried voices. And then one day, he is torn from his father Muris, his home and everything he has known. He along with his mother and younger brother become refugees. With the help of his aunt and uncle who live in Serbia, they escape to Serbia and then cross the border to Vienna. Here they begin a new life with one vital person missing, Muris their dad and Mirsala's husband. Based on fact this book is a great insight into the war that broke up Yugoslavia and created Serbia, Bosnia, and Croatia. no reviews | add a review
