I was a fan of Frank Fontaine from his many welcomed appearances on the Jackie Gleason show. These songs take me back. These are old songs. Tin Pan Alley at its schmaltziest. Frank has a lovely voice which was so different from his Crazy Guggenheim persona. Jim Nabors did the same bit from Gomer Pyle to crooning baritone. But I still love it. Harry Nilsson did some of these on his A Little Touch of Schmilsson in the Night album. Rich orchestrations back Mr. Fontaine all the way. ( ) no reviews | add a review
