But the pictures are of some historical value as the Channel Islands were surrendered to the Germans in 1940. They occupied them and a very small portion of Great Britain thus remained under German occupation until the German General surrender in May, 1945. While the occupation was onerous, and the islands were intensively fortified they were not seriously attacked. A German camp was created to house the imported workers,and sadly several deaths occurred there. There are small amounts of text, and the total effort is a useful sidelight on a action that was very nearly completely forgotten. ( ) no reviews | add a review
