After an elementary school girl draws pictures that raise concerns by the teachers; she admits that they are of her and starts sharing that she remembers a previous life. Her mother is confused and scared for her daughter starts searching for answers. With the details from the little girl;s memory she finds out that Stan Weir is mourning the loss of his wife who died nine years ago. Twists and turns builds the mystery. In the end, I am not quite sure how I personally feel about the story - I feel like I lost something in the last chapter and not sure how it could end the way that it did! Otherwise, interesting quick listen. Paranormal Mystery Review of the Audible Original audio novella (April 2020) Good mystery with a paranormal angle to it and some unexpected twists along the way. Can't reveal too much as it would be a spoiler. The narration by Ellen Archer in all voices was especially outstanding. Second Skin is one of the Audible Originals made freely available to members for the month of April 2020. It is available to everyone for a standard price. no reviews | add a review
Stan Weir is mourning a tragic loss when he meets a mysterious nine-year-old girl, who claims to be the reincarnated spirit of his late wife. Marcy Keef is a single mother trying to make ends meet when her daughter Erin starts describing 'past life memories'. Neither wants to believe Erin, but as violent secrets are revealed, the truth becomes harder to deny. With echoes of Stephen King, Second Skin is a propulsive thriller about grief, guilt and truths better left unknown. No library descriptions found. |
