I enjoyed the last half of this book a bit more than the first half, which is why I gave it four stars. For the first part I kept thinking, "oh, OK, that's it, it's all wrapped up then, the boy's got the girl and we're ready for our happily ever after!" But then the plot thickens and there's a significant twist and it got interesting! From that point on I was hooked. I could have done without quite as much detail in the sex scenes, but folks who are more into romance novels would probably enjoy those parts more than I did. Overall this was a good read, an enjoyable book, and I'm glad that Phoebe got her man in the end! (I suppose that's a spoiler, but this is a romance novel, so isn't that how they always end? :D ) ( )This review was written for LibraryThing Member Giveaways. No Accounting For Phoebe is a fast paced romantic novel, about a young woman not only searching for her place to work in the future but as well searching for love. It was a nice, fast-moving book with absolutely relatable scenes. I recommend this book for everyone who likes romance stories. no reviews | add a review
Phoebe Who knew that one spectacularly failed date, interrupted by Mr. Madrid, would lead to meeting the love of my life living three thousand miles away? Or that true love would take me from Cambridge to California and London to New York, with a little Colombia thrown in for good measure. Not me, that's for sure. Good thing I've got Maggie and Daisy to help me work it out. Ethan She once told me she hadn't expected love to feel so necessary, but my love for her is an addiction that will ultimately wreck my life in ways nobody could imagine. I have no desire to let her go but protecting her will mean I have to. Jenna He's belonged to me for the past decade and he'll belong to me forever because only I can give him what he wants, and only I know what he needs. I don't care what I have to do to win, whatever it takes I'll find a way... or I'll make a way. No library descriptions found. |
