Bing lives with his father as a boarder above a store in Canada’s Chinatown in 1907. His father works as a bone collector, digging up bones of Chinese people that have died so their bones can be sent back to rest with their ancestors. However, when Bing and his father dig up bones without a skull, it seems like their luck takes a turn for the worse.

What a wonderful glimpse into early Vancouver Chinese lives. And a rousing good ghost story, too! ( )
