A return to Bay Harbour a small town on a big lake, with the same characters you wish you lived next door to. This time there is murder, hidden gold, and laughs galore. Oh and Gibby and Moss are right in the middle of the whole thing
Yes, I wanted to catch up with the characters, I liked the previous two books of this series and I thought that a treasure hunt for gold, with good characters and humor, was what I was going to find.
Instead!!! The desire of the cozy mystery author to produce as many eccentric characters as possible reared its benighted head before the end of the first couple of chapters. Instead!!! of a cast of characters that is comfortable and united; there are new characters, old characters, and then the sometime characters being thrown into and out of the story without introduction or cohesion.
Unfortunately, this book is incoherent and requires a scorecard at hand to keep up with the number of characters floating in and around this story. (
