Great guide and visuals to Earth's fascinating creatures. Doesn't chronicle every single specimen ever known- but this encyclopedia can serve as good reference material- be it a quick lookup or to study. The physical book could easily double as a ship's anchor because it so massive and heavy. ( )

Fabulous reference book, good overview of most animals. Gorgeous photos.

Excellent reference book regarding the world's wildlife. Short notes on the various species with longer notes regarding habitats, and an overall view of the animal species. ( )

Every beastie you care to think of. Splendid illustrations, and the text is a good introduction too.
