So so so close to a five-star read. The only reason it's not is because the ending was, at least for me, just a hair too abrupt.

That being said, this final half of the Five Years story continues with Terry Moore playing to every single one of his strengths: strong, resilient, noble female characters who don't need any man to come save their asses; wonderful secondary characters that, given the time and space, could easily take over the story, because they are just as fascinating as the main characters; solid action sequences; excellent storytelling through word and art; heartwrenching moments (David? Damn...); and humour.

There doesn't seem to be anything Moore can't do wonderfully when he sets his sights on it. Another winner. ( )
