GORGEOUS children's bible... a joy for parent and child alike! A wonderful telling of the bible as a story... in simple, clear language. Ruby loves hearing 'chapters' every night! ( )

For over a decade, The Jesus Storybook Bible has been introducing children to God’s wonderful story, and the Savior at the center of that story. Trusted and treasured for over a decade, with over 3 million copies sold, The Jesus Storybook Bible is the quintessential book for parents, grandparents, pastors, and anyone else who wants to share God’s Never Stopping, Never Giving Up, Unbreaking, Always and Forever Love with children.

What makes The Jesus Storybook Bible different from every other kids’ Bible?

While other kids’ Bibles contain stories from the Old and New Testaments, The Jesus Storybook Bible tells the Story beneath all the stories in the Bible, pointing to Jesus as our Savior. From the Old Testament through the New Testament, as the Story unfolds, children will clearly see that Jesus is at the center of God's great story of salvation—and at the center of their story too.

Highly recommended. ( )

The Jesus Storybook Bible takes stories from the Old and New Testaments of the Bible and writes them in simple language children can easily understand. The familiar Old Testament stories include creation, Adam and Eve in the Garden, Noah’s Ark, Joseph and his brothers, Moses and the exodus from Egypt, parting the Red Sea, the Ten Commandments, David and Goliath, and Jonah and the whale. New Testament narratives include the birth of Jesus, the visitation of the shepherds and the wise men, John the Baptist, the calling of the disciples, the raising of Jarius’s daughter, teaching the people to pray, the Sermon on the Mount, Christ walks on the water, the feeding of the five thousand, Jesus and the children, Zacchaeus, the Prodigal Son, the Last Supper, the confrontation in the Garden of Gethsemane, the Crucifixion, the Resurrection, and the Ascension.

With each story wrapped around the common thread of Jesus as Savior, this children’s Bible Storybook is a perfect first Bible for young readers. Colorful illustrations accompany each of the stories and help bring the narrative to life for the young reader. Parents will find this a perfect volume for sharing with their children.

Highly recommended. ( )
