This was a very quick book. Rhi and Con get Dreagan to themselves since the other Kings have decided to go on vacation with their mates. It was a nice but I did wish the other Kings would have been more involved and show how they all get along in one house. But I did like it. ( )

I have a love/feel weird relationship with this book (novella)!

I mean this is a glimpse into Con and Rhi being together, finally! They've had their mating ceremony. The Kings and the mates have left to give them some privacy, a honeymoon of sorts. So everything is love, contentment and joy.

So why am I missing the sarcastic wisecracks. The debating. The doing things just to get a rise out of Con. I know.....it was all leading up to this point. When they would finally find their way back to one another. I just hope as they go on they find their strong personalities and can infuse them with the strengthen of love.....

Because from the sound of Con's musings, that man never stops over thinking or worrying, he's wondering about the twins and the Dragons. Why won't they let their parents see them? Are all the dragons they knew gone? Will there be challenges to for the title King of the ____(insert color)?

But it was nice to see all the Kings and mates getting together to celebrate Christmas. I can't imagine what Dreagon must have looked like with all those huge Christmas trees. And in all the different colors!

Ah, let's see what happens as the saga continues. I mean with that little blurb about Varek how can it not continue! ( )

First if you are not up to date with the Dark Kings series this novella does contain significant spoilers and I'd recommend reading the previous books if that sort of thing bothers you. Per the author this novella is a bridge to the spin-off series due to release in January 2021, starting with 'Dragon Revealed.'

Constantine is the King of the Golds and of all the Dragon Kings and Rhi is his wife. After a long separation they are back together, making up for all the time they lost and trying to deal with the big reveal about their children. The other Dragon Kings have left to give them privacy but they quickly realize it isn't the same without everyone.

This is a lovely holiday novella, filled with love, bringing so many beloved characters together under one roof to celebrate the holidays and the love they have for each other. They may have big decisions to make and challenges to face but they know they can face them together.

Just a warning this novella includes two excerpts from upcoming books in the Dragon Kings series and isn't quite as long as it appears.

I received a free copy of this book and I'm voluntarily leaving a review. If you like my reviews I hope you will follow my blog. https://wyldheartreads.wordpress.com/

This is my first read from the Dark Kings series. It has been on my TBR list for so long. But Whiskey & Wishes is just the amuse bouche that I needed to jumpstart my appetite from the rest of the series. Judging from all the characters in this novella, and all the references to past events. I have a lot of reading up to do.
