This is the first book I've read by this author, but based in this one I think I'll be checking out their other m/m stories, especially as they seem to be connected to the same guys on the team.
This was a really enjoyable, fun read to fill a couple of hours. Overall the guys were really cute together, especially when they acted naturally around each other. Once the pressure of a possible relationship reared its head they seemed to forget their comfortable behaviour around each other and became extremes of their incompatible selves. And this is where Slater in particular annoyed me on occasions. Being Noah's best friend meant he should have known how Noah would react to certain situations and yet he seemed surprised when he sprung a particular opportunity on him days after they finally got together and Noah reacted badly. I did think Noah was a little naive for a hockey star and his expectations around social media.
Loved the collection of friends they have around them (obviously people from previous books) and how supportive they were over the various stages of the relationship.
This tale is one of taking a step away from a comfortable relationship and risking it all on the romance, and these two certainly do that. But this is Romance with a captial R and that HEA is there in full force. The epilogue, in particular is lovely.
There's enough hockey action to please fans but not so much to be off putting to people who don't follow the game.
I'll definitely be checking out more by this author.
