First Impressions
The Guardian is the last book in the "Sons of Texas" and its a story that I absolutely adored in every way. What a finale that this one turned out to be. We have really had the plot and world building escalating throughout the series and in The Guardian we get to see the story actually get finalized the way that I have been looking forward to. I can't believe that I have finished this series, and I have to say that this one was such a blast to read. I did find this one quite interesting and was far different than I expected, but then this author really threw some loops here and tons of thrills to really keep you engaged and on the edge of your seat all the way through.

First Line
"They know."

Summary
In The Guardian, the story starts out when Maks, who is a double agent, is warned off that his covers are blown and he ends up joining forces with a information broken who ends up in danger herself. Eden Fontaine, is put in danger, the moment that she discovers the Saints and what they are about and so she and Maks come together to help each other as they are both determined to destroy this organization who are out to destroy the world. While they are on the run, they end up finding common ground and a chemistry that builds between them alongside with a unexpected love. But will they alongside the Loughman's be able to destroy the Saints and save the world from a dangerous pandemic?

What I Loved
The Guardian was such a fun story to read. I absolutely adored how Donna Grant built the plot in this story and how we see everything come to a close and it was done in a way that keeps you on edge all the way through. This series has been a reminder on why I need to read this author much more often than I have in the past. I really was so endeared by this story here. I adored Maxs and all the secrets that we end up learning about how, how he connects to the top members of the Saints and his connection to the Loughman family.

The romance that builds betweens Maks and Eden was so endearing. From the beginning of their relationship, they act like a solid team and almost have a psychological connection as they are able to almost sense what the other is thinking or needing. They really balance each other out, he is the brawn and she is the brain. haha But the way that they are willing to work together and the manner in which they bring down the saints is so satisfying. I do wish there had been more interaction with the Loughman family a bit more but it still ended up being a satisfying read.

What I Struggled With
Nothing much really.

Narration
Absolutely had a blast with this narration. Immediately engages you into the story and really tackles just right the connection between Maks and Eden.

Overall View
The Guardian was a sensational read that delivered such deep emotion and relatable characters you want to cheer on throughout their journey.

Steam/Spice Explanations

Steamin' up the room -the sexual content is more explicit in the language and tone, heavier amount of sexual scenes.

Maks Volkov has one mission, bring down The Saints. He's been deep undercover as a spy for so long his family thinks he's dead. But now he's on the run after a cryptic text from a surprising source.

Eden Fontaine is an Information Broker. One of the best. She can find out anything about anyone without breaking a sweat. So why can't she find anything about the company's new assignment. Who is Maks Volkov and why is he like a ghost?

Maks finds out he's being investigated by an IB (information broker) company. He wants to know why, is it The Saints coming after him or something else? Now he's crossed paths with Eden. Other than the fact she's beautiful he trusts her and tells her more about himself than he's shared with anyone in decades.

On the run Eden's life is blown apart by knowing what it's like to be on the receiving end of being investigated. And once she knows about The Saints An elite group who has their hands in business, government...you name it, they run it. Including their plan to thin out the human race by releasing a biological weapon. Can you say Corona Virus? she joins the fight. No one should ever have that kind of power.

This book is full of adventure. Danger. Plot twists. And yes, romance.....plenty of romance.
