They're ahead of the sacrifice cycle, with plans to stop the murders and kill the dark witch. Only this time, the hunters become the hunted when the witch knows they're coming to get him, and has deadly plans of his own. There is one more book in this series and then I guess if I want to visit with Seth and Evan I’ll have to start over. We get to meet and see more of Seth’s mentors, Toby and Milo. We haven’t seen them...and then only briefly since Thanksgiving in book 3. if you love the author's other hunter novels (Badlands, Treasure Trail, Deadly Curiosities, and Night Vigil)...and I do... you will get to see some of the characters that make cameo appearances to help out Seth and Evan. If ghosts, magic, suspense and deadly bad guys are your cuppa tea then you're going to love this entire series. Please be aware that all the Witchbane & Badlands series are same sex romances/adventures. ( )

Another enjoyable read in the series this time the boys team up with Toby and Milo, the hunters who trained Seth and are like family to him.
This relationship added another dynamic to the interactions with Evan and Seth able to envisage a 'forever' life together.
I like the way these books are interconnected (Simon played a part in this one). I do wonder if the author intends to write a book for each disciple of if she intends for a final showdown with the disciples coming together as a group. As much as I enjoy the series I don't know if it can support another 9 books on disciple hunts. ( )

This continues to be an amazing series. Evan and Seth are going strong, but there is still that little underlying fear in Seth that Evan will get sick of their hunting life. We get to meet Toby and Milo finally, and it was awesome to see more of their family. The books are rich in action and keep the reader (and the poor characters) on their toes the entire time. I enjoyed this latest tale of hunting down the next disciple, and I can't wait for more!!
