This was a fun and interesting read about Sylvie who suffers from an immunity condition that has left her unable to go out in public, be around others, and just live life as a twenty-three-year-old should. She normally doesn’t let her get her down because she knows what her future holds, so she is determined to enjoy the time she does have. One mistake, a sister’s desperate hope to save Sylvie, enter supernatural beings, and Sylvie is thrown into the impossible world full of adventure and chaos. Sylvie isn’t sure what to believe, who to trust, but the dark and broody Riggs is determined to protect her at all costs. Riggs is a werewolf who despises all vampires, but one look at Sylvie and he is willing to do anything even work with his enemy to keep her safe. Sylvie is funny in a cute yet naive way that makes you cringe and laugh at what she comes up with next. Riggs is the ultimate alpha even if he renounced his title, he will do anything for Sophie and she has a way of bringing out his softer side. They balanced each other well and ended up falling hard. The action was intense, and I didn’t see a few things coming, but was glued to my seat the whole ride. Such a fun read and I hope we get more from the other characters. ( )

I always know when I read something from this author that it will be zany and fun filled with lots of humor. This was definitely all of that. This is make believe and not plausible in the least but that is what made it special.

I wanted the ending a little more fleshed out in regards to the sister otherwise, this would have ranked higher. ( )
