ISEE stands for "Independent School Entrance Exam." There are three levels of the exam - Lower, Middle and Upper - intended for students in middle school and high school. This book covers the Upper math portion.

There are 500 word problems, covering topics like trigonometry, matrices and imaginary numbers. Answers, with explanations, in the back of the book are a big help. The banning of calculators during the test makes things more challenging, but this book does a good job at preparing the student. It also helps that the pages are of thicker paper, so your pen will probably not bleed through. Overall, this book works very well as a way to prepare for the exam. ( )
