The Suspect
Review of the Amazon Original Kindle eBook (May 2021)

This 3rd chapter continues the creepy serial thriller of House of Crows which features a haunting/possession theme that involves four adults who were summer friends in their teenage youth. In Circling the Drain we get the back story of Mason Brandt who was the main suspect in the original disappearance of a young girl when the 4 friends were together at Merle House in their youth. Mason is now a 'pastor' to troubled teens after dropping out of seminary school. Events seem to repeat as Mason is suspected in yet another disappearance. He decides to head back to Merle House and confront his past. The scene is set for the finale when all 4 friends are back at the original locale.

Circling the Drain is the 3rd of the 4 novellas making up the serialized supernatural fiction novel House of Crows, released simultaneously on May 27, 2021 as an eBook by Amazon Original and as an audiobook by Audible Original. ( )

Another enjoyable short story from the four-book serial “House of Crows”. In this one, we learn more about Mason, who was a suspect in a young girl’s disappearance years ago. Now he is offering guidance to teens at the Celebration Spiritual Center. Then things start to go wrong…

I’m really enjoying this series. They are all connected, so it’s best to read them in order. I look forward to reading the next story, which is the conclusion of the series, “Love the Way You Lie”. ( )
